I cannot sleep (Kim's Song)
Lyrics
Sleep

Inside my dream
You're coming home to me
There is no night
There is no time

No letting go
Of first words spoken
No letting go
Of last things done

Inside my dream
No other day will come
All that there is to do and see
We have just begun

No letting go
I hold the breath of you
No letting go
No letting go

Chorus
Still waters flow
The world turns around
And the stars fall down
Inside my dream ... (hum)

There is a place
Inside my dream
Where all the things we lost before
Are always found again

The seasons change
The snow is on the ground
And Christmas comes and goes again
Without a sound

Inside my dream
There are no words to say
There is no pain to feel or pass along
There is no yesterday

Inside my dream
I'm growing old with you
There is no night
There is no time

Chorus
Still waters flow
And the world turns around
And I'm holding you - I'm holding you so close
Where will we go?
Where will we go?
Where will we go?
Oh, oh, oh ...

Inside my dream
You're coming home with me
There is no night
There is no time

Inside my dream
I cannot sleep
There is no night
I cannot sleep
Description
Short Song Description:
My friend Kim lost her 18 month old granddaughter as result of an accident recently. This song is my healing gift to her.
Long Song Description:
The nights after losing someone are often spent in restless dreams ... sometimes in these dreams, the one who is lost returns. Time stands still. We mourn by remembering.
Story Behind the Song:
Kim is a vocalist that works with me sometimes. I received news that her granddaughter had died. I have not been able to get in touch with her ... hence the song that I pray will help.
